According to the WHO, mental illness is defined as an individual’s cognition, emotional regulation, or behavioural disturbance. These disturbances are usually associated with distress or impairment in important areas of functioning. There are many different types of mental disorders. For instance, Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Schizophrenia, etc.
